Pole winners at the Nashville Superspeedway have received a most distinctive award this year. Dillon Cabinet & Millwork, Inc. of Lebanon, Tennessee was commissioned to design an original trophy that Donnie Dillon has proudly presented to this season’s fastest qualifiers.

The one-of-a-kind award features a scale model of a Dillon Freightliner tractor and trailer unit mounted on a unique walnut base. Danny Dillon, a partner in the family owned and operated business, created the design. J. B. Pryor, a huge race fan, and a 14- year employee of the company, produced the finished product. Zavier Conetzac also worked on the special project.

Although awards are not the usual business of this 40 year old custom millwork company, Danny Dillon said he enjoyed creating the trophies because he too is a race fan.  Dillon Cabinet is best known for producing fixtures for the Cracker Barrel Old Country Stores.

It was no surprise that the trophies were a big success with pole award winners.  With a name like Dillon, the company’s product had to be special.
